Planning a trans-Tasman trip in the short term? Here’s a chance to fly in style! We’ve spotted cheap LATAM Airlines Business Class fares on the 787-9 Dreamliner for the Auckland to Sydney leg of their Santiago route.
For late July, and the month of August, you’ll score trans-Tasman business class fares from just $703 NZD return. This is significantly cheaper than trans-Tasman business class fares offered by LATAM competitors such as Qantas, Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia for the same period.
LATAM Airlines’ highly regarded 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft commenced flying the Auckland-Sydney route in 2016, and it’s arguably one of the best trans-Tasman business class products in operation. The LATAM Dreamliner offers two cabins – Premium Business (30 seats) and Economy (283 seats). The 30 fully lie-flat business class seats are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration.
The eligible flight numbers are LA801 and LA800. Similar pricing is available ex Sydney.
Whether you’re based in Auckland or Sydney, these fares represent excellent value.
There is one downside, however. The Auckland flight is wheels up at the sobering hour of 7.20 am. But if you’re an early bird, you could certainly enjoy the experience of watching the sunrise mid-air on your way to Sydney, sipping a glass of bubbles. It certainly beats fighting the plastic wrapping back in Economy!
Best of all, LATAM Airlines is a codeshare partner with Qantas, guaranteeing access to the Qantas International Business Lounges in Sydney and Auckland (and the possibility to earn Qantas points on your booking).
These cheap business fares are bookable right now via the LATAM Airlines website, and you can also easily check for your preferred dates via Google Flights. Another useful tip is to price compare NZ/AUD pricing to that of the US LATAM website.
Personally, I’m very keen to try LATAM Business Class and will be booking a trip later on in the year.
